I've come a long way

Sometimes, it helps to get a single view of my progress, especially when I'm feeling like I'm not getting anywhere

  1. It looks like u need a trim to get ur hair growing. Have u tried a good sew in weave to give ur hair a break and hide it for awhile?

  2. I found your site a few weeks ago after nearly crying when I finally held up my mirror to the back of my hair, and saw just how bad my nape was. My nape was slightly damaged 2 months prior but a protein overload really damaged it. I didn't know what to do. I was finally figuring out how to take care of my relaxed hair. The rest of my hair was getting healthy but the back was too far gone. Braiding makes my hair shed and although helps my nape grow, it thins my edges. Finding this website gave me hope. I'm not relaxing as much, but I have hope that my nape will be healthy again nd back to normal. Thank you! :)

  3. @Sarah, I'm glad you've found my blog to be helpful. I understand where you're coming from. It's a good idea to document what's happening with your hair so that you know what works and what doesn't. If you can, I'd suggest wearing a wig until your hair recovers. You can get some really good ones that don't look like the ones our grannies used to wear. Good luck and please let me know about your progress.

  4. @papayapunch - I plan to trim in December. I wore wigs at the beginning of my hair journey but I am toying with the idea of going back to wigs, especially with winter coming. Thanks for stopping by
